Layout Draft for Digipak

This post consist of my layout draft for my digipak. 

This will be the front of my album cover. On this cover a medium shot of my artist will be displayed this is so that the target audience knows who the album is by due to the fact that she is a new up coming artist. She will take of 2/3 of the shot positioned to the right of the camera. The name of the artist and the album will then be reflected on the opposite side. This will connote to the audience that the album is a reflection of her and her life hence why the album is called 'The Cycle' - to present her journey through life up to this point in her life. 

This will be the back of my album. The image for the back of my album will be taken from the music video, it will be the artist facing to the right with the fireflies projected onto her she will take up 2/3 of the shot. The track list will be to the right of the shot. The font will be the same as the album title font. Due to the background being black the text will be in white. 

This is the first image the buyer would see when they open the album. The image will be a close up shot of the artist. She will not be looking directly at the camera, instead she will be looking to the left to give off the impression that she is looking at something in the distance. 

This image would be on the inside of the album front cover. The image will consist of the artist looking out to the water as the sun sets behind her, reflecting off the tall buildings. 

The CD for the album will be fireflies. This is because her number one hit song is her song 'Fireflies' therefore the album CD will reflect that. As well as that fireflies connote freedom and light, which connotes the end of the artists journey as she has resolved all her conflicting emotions and feelings. Behind the CD will be a continuation of the image inside the front cover. On this image the buyer will see the tall buildings that the sun reflects from behind.

This image is part of the image on the inside of the album cover, it will stretch across the three sides. On this image will be the boats. This will only enhance the idea that she is at a river bank.

For my music magazine album advert I am going to represent my artist as a strong dominant, independent woman though either a medium long shot or an extreme close up of the artist.
